My Painting Practice
The goal of my work is to bring my inner landscapes into form. I use color and movement to get in touch with my more reverent, wordless nature. I see creative expression in any medium as a tool for connection and evolution.
I explore themes around creation itself, through oberving nature, my own mind, and the quantum field made manifest in physical reality.
When people see my work I hope they feel less alone. I hope they are reminded of the common origin that unites us all.

The Mountains or The Beach, 2025
I’ve decided to not decide. Since leaving the foothills in February of 2025 I’ve been splitting time between South Lake Tahoe and San Diego, both long-time abodes, both renown for unique landscapes. Walking the line between abstract and representational, this new collection of paintings are actually emotional landscapes, imbued with the essence and color of the places where they’re made.
Within this collection are four distinct themes:
Light Shows (2)
Drowning Lessons (2)
Native Population (4)
Inner Space (4)
Yin Series, 2024
Exploring the boundaries of my Self, being utterly female, and wholly unsuited for the world I inhabit.
Where do I end when I feel everything around me?
Where do I begin, when I feel I have always been?
What is at the center of my being and how do I inhabit that place, finding power in the softness of my femininity?
Winter Sun Series, 2022-2023
These three oil paintings comprise a series about Winter in Tahoe and my tenuous relationship with it. I'm a San Diego native, a lover of the Sun and the Summer. With these paintings I'm exploring my continuing enchantment with the Sun, obscured by the wind and water and cold. The titles are each lines of a song – Winter Sun by Mogli. Abstracts that border on landscapes, these paintings are a testament to Tahoe and its pervasive influence.
I work mainly with oils and canvas. Since 2018 I have exclusively used non-toxic oil paints comprised of earth pigments and walnut oil, mixed by hand.
When I’m traveling or short on space I keep pencils, pastels and ink on hand.
